Although Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan had been going on every year
without a break ever since 1875, yet an organizing committee came into being
in 1922. Rai Bahadur Pandit Devi Chand was appointed as the founder
President, Shri Mushtaq Rai Sood the Vice President, Shri Jagan Nath Parti
the Secretary and Shri Sant Ram Ahluwalia was appointed as the Treasurer.
After Pt. Devi Chand's death, Seth Hukam Chand Budhia was appointed
the President and after Seth Hukam Chand Budhia's death, the organizing
committee was given the form of a registered society and was given the name

IP ( DGP BSF Retd ) is the chairman of the Mahasabha
President
Shri Ashwani Kumar served the Mahasabha as President from 1952 to 1994. Under Shri
Ashwani Kumar's able leadership, Shree Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan
acquired the highest standards in terms of quality of music, organization,
and international fame.
Shri R.P.S Pawar IAS served as the President from 1994 to 1995, Shri B.K. Srivastava
served as the President from 1995 to 1997, Mrs. Geetika Kalha served as the
President from 1997 to 1998,
Padam Shri Sh.Vijay Kumar Chopra, who served as the Presidents of the
Mahasabha in the year 1998 to 2004 gave new impetus to the Mahasabha, making
ut financially sound and vibrant. In short, all Presidents had put in their
efforts creating new landmarks every year.
Shri O. P. Seth was appointed as the president in the year 2004 and
is currently serving the Mahasabha.

General Secretaries
Shri
Faquir Chand Kapoor served the Mahasabha as General Secretary till
1965, Shri Balbir Raj Sondhi served the Mahasabha as General
Secretary from1965 to 1967 Shri Kasturi Lal Jain served the
Mahasabha as General Secretary from1967 to 1975, Shri Vijay Sehgal
served the Mahasabha as General Secretary from1975 to 1998. They all
served the Mahasabha with distinction.
Mrs.
Purnima Beri took over as the General Secretary in 1998 and is
presently serving the Mahasabha with devotion and dedication.
Secretary
Shri
Jagan Nath Parti served the Mahasabha as Secretary with great
dedication from 1922 to 1964.
Shri
Alok Sondhi, who served the Mahasabha as Secretary from 1993 to 1998
introduced the concepts of Team Work, Delegation and created an
effective team for the organization.

Ashok Sehgal served the Mahasabha as Treasure in their respective
terms.

Rakesh Dada took over in 1994 as the Treasurer and is currently

Director of Mela and organised Sangeet Sammelans successfully.
